Introduction

Path to enlightenment or understanding

If you’ve been around on this earth long enough, you’ve probably had the time at some point to consider or ponder the extreme peculiarity of your existence. “Why am I here?” or, “What is the purpose of my life?” you might’ve thought to yourself. It is a strange and mysterious thing that we are alive and that we have the capacity to reflect on our lives and the meaning of it. We can do many things to distract ourselves from answering these questions, but our souls, nevertheless, demand a response. Somewhere, deep down, we all long to know why we are here, what we are meant to do, the reason for our trials and tribulations, and the places to which we are headed. The answers to these questions can be ignored, but not altogether avoided. The pursuit of determining life’s meaning is an inevitable one; inevitable in the sense that in the moments just before death, the answers to these questions will be all that matters. You will want to know what the culmination of your life has been, and you will feel a sense of preparedness, or lack thereof, to die, based on your evaluation. Therefore, one is better served by pondering the meaning of their existence sooner, rather than later, insofar as it prepares them to make the most of that meaning and gives their life a sense of fulfillment while they still have it.

However, this is by no means, an easy task. Where do you go to find meaning? How do you make sense of that meaning? What do you do when one version of meaning conflicts with another? And if you do happen to land on an objective truth, how do you implement that meaning into your daily life? These are very deep and, at times, objectively difficult questions to answer, but take heart, because the purpose of this blog is to hopefully help anyone along on their path of seeking meaning. In other words, finding your faith.
